Kretschmar Inc. is a leader in the production of quality smoked and cooked meat products and is a principal business component of the Piller’s family of companies. We are an expanding business that has been in operation since 1957 and now employ more than 200 employees in our Toronto Kretschmar location. We are seeking an addition to our team as:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the overall production of the business. Specific responsibilities include managing production to achieve maximum efficiency and utilization of staff and equipment in a manner which will not jeopardise safety or quality.
To be successful you must have a minimum of 10 years previous related experience in the Food Industry (processed meats preferred). In particular, the successful candidate must have an understanding of meat processing and packaging operations. In addition, you must have excellent computer skills including analytical skills.
Preference will be given to applicants who have a degree in Food Engineering or related field with previous supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
